- Who is Jackie Webster?
Since 1999, Small Web Solutions has been dedicated to providing the best service possible at affordable rates for small business, government and professional organizations.
Small Web Solutions is a one-woman design and development studio. As a small business owner myself, I understand the needs and demands of a small business. Your focus needs to be on your day-to-day and not on managing a website. That’s why I can develop the perfect affordable website solution for your organization that requires minimal maintenance.
Whether you need a new website or a site redesign, I am ready to help! Let me create a site that reflects your business personality to attract new clients and keep your current clients impressed.
I have the right solutions that will work for you and your small business or organization!
When you are a Small Web Solutions client, you will be dealing with the same person for every interaction. I have no call center and do not subcontract my work to others. When you call, you will be talking to me and only me. You will not need to explain your issue over and over to multiple levels of support to get your problem resolved.
Prompt quality service is the hallmark of Small Web Solutions, which is why most of my business comes from referrals by satisfied, long-time clients.
Testimonials from a couple of my clients:
“Small Web Solutions exceeded our expectations in incorporating our needs into our new website. Not only has Small Web Solutions dramatically improved the look and functionality of our website, they have increased our exposure on the Internet and reduced our costs in doing so! The transition to the new website was seamless and effortless! Jackie Webster with Small Web Solutions is extremely responsive and has customer needs in mind. I would highly recommend Small Web Solutions to anyone!”

“I’ve tried to think of the perfect one or two words that best describe the work done for us by Small Web Solutions in creating and maintaining our website…’amazingly creative,’ ‘a perfect partnership,’ ‘attentive to needs,’ ‘quick to respond,’ ‘a lifesaver!’ All are accurate, but none of them seem to accurately paint a picture of the great job Jackie Webster has done to help us create and maintain a website to promote our dance studio.”

Upon completion of the business plan, it was obvious that an appealing web site would be an important asset in both the launch and on-going efforts for Insight Garden, Inc. as a message context and marketing consultancy. It was also crucial for the site to reach a fairly high level of creativity in conveying Insight Garden’s offerings. Many of IG’s prospects are senior level advertising and marketing professionals who tend to view communication tools through a very critical lens. Anything less than a compelling site experience could lead prospects to reject IG out of hand as a potential service provider.
As Owner and Principal Strategist of Insight Garden, I’m ecstatic to report that insightgarden.com has hit a home run with me personally and with its most important audience… my prospects. By and large, my prospects are people who themselves create communication tools for their clients. They are very tough to please and are responsible for creating communications for A-list, world-class marketers. Their commentary on insightgarden.com has been nothing less than rave.
I’m very impressed with Jackie Webster and Small Web Solutions. Jackie positions SWS as a cost-effective web site solution provider to small business entities and organizations. SWS is that and more. Not only are the solutions happily as cost-effective as billed, but the creativity and professionalism of both the development process and finished product provides outstanding value for the investment.
Jackie Webster has been a joy to work with in the construction of insightgarden.com and I look forward to working with SWS over time to keep the site fresh and vibrant.
“She was always prompt and professional and at the same time gave me that personal touch that I like. It took me much longer to get the content around for my site than I had anticipated, but she was always patient and helpful. When I felt discouraged I would go look at the site she had designed and that inspired me to keep going with it. The option to use a WordPress content management system was a no-brainer for me. It was very affordable and gives me the freedom to add and change content on my own.
“I would highly recommend Small Web Solutions to anyone who wants an original, affordable, beautiful design to represent their business or organization on the web. I could not be any more pleased with the level of service I received.”
Mark Dominiak, Owner & Principal Strategist – Insight Garden, Inc.
“From the moment I spoke with Jackie Webster at Small Web Solutions, I knew I wanted her to design my website. Soon after speaking with her about my thoughts, she sent me some design options and I was blown away by how well she had listened to my ideas. She had captured the essence of who I was and the business I was building. I knew from viewing her portfolio that she had a good eye for detail and I was not disappointed – it is impeccable!

I’ve tried to think of the perfect one or two words that best describe the work done for us by Small Web Solutions in creating and maintaining our website…”amazingly creative,” “a perfect partnership,” “attentive to needs,” “quick to respond,” “a lifesaver!” All are accurate, but none of them seem to accurately paint a picture of the great job Jackie Webster has done to help us create and maintain a website to promote our dance studio.
Just over a year ago, Jackie created the new website for Premier Academy. Through a few brief conversations, Jackie was able to pull together all of our ideas and create a website that is exactly what we were looking for. It is attractive, easy to navigate and update, and it has generated a great deal of interest in our business. Better still is that it came with a price tag we could afford.
Rarely have we run into difficulty with our website, but on those rare occasions an email to Jackie and we’re quickly back in business.
Obviously, we’re extremely pleased with the work that has been done for us by Jackie Webster and Small Web Solutions. We would highly recommend this company for anyone looking to create a new or update their old website. You can’t go wrong!!!
“The Illiana section of the American Society for Quality has about 300 members. We had been looking for help setting up a website for our section for over 3 years. We had some general ideas concerning the website but very little background in website development. We finally chose Small Web Solutions to help us.
“Small Web Solutions has provided us with an excellent service. The website has been very successful. Our members have found the website extremely useful and have been impressed with its professional look.
“The design phase of the website went very smoothly. The board members of our Section are all volunteers with many other time commitments and little prior experience designing a website. The website designer, Jackie Webster, was extremely creative, patient and helpful.
“We use the website to post our newsletter. This has resulted in a significant savings to our section. The printing and mailing costs of our section newsletter had been the largest single cost to our budget. The cost of the website development plus maintenance was less than a third of single year of printing and mailing newsletters.
“We also post our schedule of general meetings on the website. Our members can review the meetings at their convenience and can even make reservations through the website. The reservation function of the website has been very useful to our membership.

As Vice President of our local school board late in 1998, I was invited by the school corporation’s Technology Director to attend a student web design workshop to better understand what students were learning in technology classes. Rather than observe, I decided to sit down at a computer and go through the lesson with students.
What I discovered was I thoroughly enjoyed what I was learning. I was already fairly technology proficient at the time (and for that decade), but the ability to combine that proficiency with my inherent strengths of data organization and an artistic eye for detail seemed utterly natural and gratifying to me. I was hooked!
To put into practice the small amount of web design knowledge I learned that day, I began to experiment with a website for my daughter’s summer travel basketball team. That first website turned into an online magazine for girls basketball in Indiana (which still exists to this day), and became very popular with high school and college basketball coaches in Indiana and around the country.
Less than a year after my introduction to web design, I was hired by the spouse of a local high school girls basketball coach who was looking for someone to establish a web presence for a professional organization — the National Association of Purchasing Managers of Northwest Indiana (NAPM-NI) — of which she was a member. And that was when I formally established my business and registered my company with the State of Indiana.
Through word of mouth and enthusiastic referrals, my client base has grown to over 100 small businesses and organizations all over the country encompassing a wide variety of industries and professional sectors. During that time, I have expanded my range of services and credentials to meet an ever-growing and ever-changing technology field.
Who am I? I am a member of the baby boomer generation, a daughter of French and Romanian immigrants who came to North America in 1951, first settling in Windsor, Canada, before moving to Gary, Indiana, near relatives.
Miraculous survivors of WWII, my parents taught me the values of honorable hard work, self-reliance and perseverance. I became a naturalized citizen in 1961 (photo at right is from my naturalization papers). Sadly, I can never be the President of the United States since I was born in Canada, but I can be your web developer, which definitely might be a better gig at the current time!
My strengths include creatively organizing disordered & complicated content, conceiving & implementing unique artistic web design, troubleshooting and problem solving. When not focused on work, I like cooking, baking cakes, gardening, and love spending time with family — especially time with my two handsome grandsons. I have a view of my garden from my home office, and often will take a break from my computer to pull a few weeds or grab a cherry tomato.
My retired husband Cory and I have two married daughters — one who is a UI/UX director at a tech firm in Carmel, Indiana, and another who is Services Delivery Manager for a work-improvement software training firm in Indianapolis.
We also have four cats (left, which means we are officially one cat away from being crazy) and they all serve as interns in my office. That is why I sometimes refer to “we” or “us” on this website. As it stands now, none of them have proven themselves to be promoted to permanent positions in the business — too much sleeping on the job.
If that changes, I will announce it here. (Don’t hold your breath. I certainly am not!) :)
